How to see task estimates in Reports

Columns that show Estimates

An estimate can be found in any report when you add the column called Estimate. There are some other columns that work with task estimates: 

  • Progress shows total time spent on a task against the estimate. 
  • Remaining shows how much time remains to reach your estimate.
  • Overtime shows how much time you tracked over the estimate that you have. 

As estimates are created for tasks only, we advise to include a task column into your reports. When you use such columns as Iteration or Project, the estimate will show the total number of all task estimates under a project or a section. You should also keep in mind that if you assign a total estimate, it is better to avoid any columns and filters by a member. Limited members do not see individual estimates and they could change only their individual estimate.
Important! If you estimate tasks that have no time reported yet, you should open the report settings located in the filters block on the left side of a report builder. You can check the option to show such tasks. Alternatively, select the period as Everything in your report.
