How to see task estimates in reports
Columns that show Estimates
An estimate can be found in any report when you add the column called Estimate. There are some other columns that work with task estimates:
- Progress shows total time spent on a task against the estimate.
- Remaining shows how much time remains to reach your estimate.
- Overtime shows how much time you tracked over the estimate that you have.
If you use estimates by individuals, you should add a Member column alongside a Task column to see the accurate representation of hours that a user should spend on a task.
As an estimate does not have any certain period you can indicate, you have to select the report period as Everything or open report settings and check the option to show tasks with estimates but with no reported time.
