Creating a document
Documents app is designed to help you organize team knowledge, streamline collaboration, and manage everything from project notes to company policies. We’re bringing a simpler, team-centric solution that lives within Everhour, and super easy to use, without extra costs.
How to create and navigate documents
Open a tab and click on a "+" icon next to the tab title on the right or press the button "Create Doc" on the left side of your page. When you choose the 1st option, you have to further choose to create a document or a folder first. When you choose the second variant, You can separately create a folder, the option is next to the green button.
This is how a typical document looks.
- Folder Structure: The left panel shows your document tree. You can expand, collapse, or rearrange folders and move documents between them with drag-and-drop functionality.
- Content Area: The right panel displays the selected folder or document.
Access Sharing
- Permissions are set at the top-level folder:
- Restricted: Private to the creator by default (you can add specific users, groups, or roles).
- Everyone Viewer: Accessible to everyone in the team for viewing.
- Everyone Editor: Accessible to everyone in the team for editing.
Subfolders and documents automatically inherit the parent folder’s permission
