User capacity and tracking limits

On the Members page, you can set your members capacity for a week and restrict their time tracking by adding personal limits.

Member capacity

Capacity is the total number of hours per week that each person is available to work. Your teammates won’t always work this number of hours. But, it’s good to track capacity so you know if people are working enough, too much, or too little. It is used in multiple places.

'Schedule' app lets you plan work for each employee keeping into account their weekly capacity and thus make sure that no one is overbooked. This will help you avoid giving the wrong delivery dates to the client and burnout.

For example. In the first week, an employee was mistakenly scheduled too much work, 55 hours instead of 40. Next week he has 30 hours scheduled, but at the same time has 2 days off, which reduces the capacity and results in excess again. You'll notice this.

2
Capacity will be used when you record a time off for a member. Time off can be taken for the whole day or say for 1/2. If an employee works 40 hours a week, then 1/2 of a day will be 4 hours. If an employee works part-time (20 hours), then 1/2 = 2 hours.

There is a special dashboard called 'Team Hours'. The dashboard shows working hours, time off and project hours, compares them with users' capacity.

Time tracking limits

Limit is the number of hours that a user is allowed to track per day, week or month. Once reached, it cannot be overridden by a member. Besides setting a limit on time tracking for a user, you can also decide if non-billable time should be excluded from the limit and set up an email notification upon reaching a specified threshold.
